Synopsis

The never-been-told true story of Lance Sergeant Haane Manahi, a World War II soldier of extroardinary courage.

Lance Sgt. Manahi DCM (Te Arawa, Ngāti Raukawa) of B Company, 28th Māori Battalion, was pivotal in the 1943 battle for the fortified summit of Takrouna, Tunisia.

Through dramatic re‑enactment alongside the voices of descendants, SGT. HAANE powerfully explores legacy, whakapapa and remembrance.
